The mysterious countdown at the Foo Fighter's website

Foo Fighters have teased a moment of their new track on their website, temporarily called ‘Nothing’s Set in Stone’. Their website shows a baffling countdown that is configured to expire on 23rd November.

Since the initial report, further details have been added to the site with a new backdrop of trees and a local street showing alongside hazy instrumental music. The band’s logo is shaped like a road sign. This could easily indicate the band is getting set to announce the second season of their Sonic Highways line. The first season was aired on HBO last year and followed Foo Fighter’s cross-country journey through some American countries and recording studios.

Foo Fighters fan site Foo Fighters Live have confirmed that the ID tag on the music file reads '2nd century AD' though there is no speculation as to what that might mean.

Meanwhile, the band has been hard at work on their new material. During a stop in Austin earlier this month, Grohl told the masses that the Foos had recorded no fewer than five new songs at a local studio. “We’re gonna give it to you,” he promised, “but not tonight.”
