Paris Attacks Costs 118 Lives At A Rock Concert

In an unfortunate turn of events, around 118 people have died when gunmen attacked Bataclan, a rock venue where US rock band, Eagles of Death Metal, were headlining the event.

The police stated that the terrorists took many people in captivity for hours at the demised concert. Family members said the band’s vocalist and the guitarist were able to escape the attack, but the rest of the band mates and crew members are still unaccountable for.

We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation.

More than 100 people were reported dead in a venue which holds 1,500 people, with the show being completely sold out. Many more were left injured.

"At first we heard gunshots," eyewitness Jenny Watson, who was on the first floor of the venue, told France 24, according to The New York Times. "They were quite high pitched. At first I thought it was a joke. The shots kept going and going and going and people started screaming and ducking, hiding behind the chairs. That’s when we knew we needed to get out."

This shootout was one of the multiple attacks that took place that night. Another attack took place at the Paris’s sports stadium, where France was playing against Germany. This wave of terrorism is the deadliest France has ever seen.

Eagles of Death Metal is a band from California and were the headliners at the Paris gig. For now, all the band members evacuated safely.
