Mitch Luker: You Only Live Once

It has been three years since the demise of Mitch Luker, who headed Suicide Silence, a deathcore band based in America. Mitch died at an age of 28 when he smashed his motorbike to a light pole.

Formed in 2002, Suicide Silence specializes in the 21st-century metal genre called Deathcore and quickly signed on to the international mega label- Century Media. Apart from a few lineup changes, the band quickly gained worldwide recognition and released their debut album 'The Cleansing' in 2007. Following the release, the band toured steadily in the US and Europe with bands like Parkway Drive and Bury Your Dead.

Synonymous to the cult classics such as Metallica's Kill Em All and Slayer's Reign In Blood, the voracious No Time To Bleed provides a substantial wake up call to the masses giving today's youth an outlet to vent their everyday frustrations. Suicide Silence can identify with their fans and know what struggles they face in today's society. This new effort showcases a more mature band coming into their own, ultimately paving a new path throughout the metal genre unique all unto itself that can't be replicated. This is the future of extreme music that is brutal, genuine and simply undeniable.

Mitch is known for having a lot of tattoos and for his signature "Pterodactyl Dance." He was blessed with a daughter, Kenadee Isis Lucker, who was was born on June 2007. He also has a fiance, Jolie, who is Kenadee's mother. After the music world was struck by the sudden death of Mitch Lucker, his band Suicide Silence is offering up a memorial fund to dedicate to the life of Mitch Lucker – which was his daughter Kenadee Lucker. The accident took place on Halloween evening, with the Suicide Silence frontman succumbing to his injuries earlier this morning, November 1. The Orange County coroner’s office said Lucker was pronounced dead at 6:17 a.m. Thursday at UCI Medical Center in Orange County.

Lucker was remembered by fans and fellow musicians for his kindness and down-to-earth nature. Lucker and Suicide Silence helped reshape modern heavy metal, unleashing a new brutality by melting the intense, punishing beats of hardcore with death metal.
