On the 88th birth anniversary of Kishore Kumar, all his admirers are walking down the memory lane by listening to his classic songs. Born in a Bengali Family Abhas Kumar Ganguly a.k.a Kishore Da gave masterpieces like ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Pas’ ‘Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi’ to his fans. The master of many talents- singer, actor, lyricist, producer, director, screenplay writer, and composer became the living definition of romance in the film industry.

The king of versatility who has eight Filmfare Awards to his credit is arguably the most loved voice that Bollywood has ever produced. Though his love life was not that successful, many took inspiration from his songs to woo their beloved. Songs like Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhagi Si, Aanewala Pal, Mere Dil Mein Aaj Kya Hai, and Dil Kya Kare have been love anthems for many generations.

Decades have passed after his death but one can always feel his presence in the form of his movies and songs. He didn’t just spread his magic in Hindi and Bengali- he also recorded songs in Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Odia, Urdu and Malayalam.
