Their first album as a duo was 'Homework', which came in 1997, making it a success amongst all the famous dance charts of the world. After four years, came the album 'Discovery' which became iconic. After that, they had never looked back. The old retro groove and contemporary electronic sounds make this duo ecstatic.
The last album Random Access Memories achieved worldwide fame. They became equally fascinating with the visual effects that they started using in their performances. The stage decor became a new form of art.
BBC Radio is to release the new documentary, ‘Daft Punk Unchained’, which will provide a new insight to the techniques and ideas that Daft Punk represents worldwide. The documentary will be premiered on 24th June in France. The director Herve Martin Delpierre promises a more objective focus upon the duo with the cameos of Skrillex, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Kanye West, Michel Gondry, Todd Edwards, and Pete Tong in the movie.
The duo has always worked with a certain mist of mystery whether in performance or new releases. Little does one know whether the documentary will bring some clearing with real facts or will end up something like ‘A Montage of Heck’, the infamous documentary of Kurt Cobain which was just recently released?
