Chris Martin brought Chester back to life with his tribute

Chris Martin brought Chester back to life with his tribute

After the Linkin Park’s frontman Chester Bennington committed suicide last month, tons of musicians - friends, fans, and collaborators have expressed their grief by sharing their thoughts or their own take on one of Bennington's songs. The latest addition was by Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin in East Rutherford, New Jersey on 1st August.

During the concert, Chris paused for a while and gave a solo piano performance of Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory album cut ‘Crawling’. Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda was at the gig and described the cover as “beautiful” on Instagram.

The frontman of Cold Play restarted his tribute as he fumbled in the beginning and said, “I know this is probably going to end up on YouTube so I want to do it right, and I want to do it respectfully.” He added, “This is to everybody who misses someone you know. This is for our whole community of musicians.”

Chris’s tribute brought back all the memories related to Chester and made everyone emotional who were there to attend his show. When Chester’s suicide news came out, millions of hearts got shattered. The news of his death was so shocking that it still feels like a joke he tried to pull-off. Chester might have left this world but he will always remain a part our life.
